Huge Catches at Skarsundet

Members of Britishseaanglers.com had the trip of a lifetime when they visited Phill Dales' Skarnsundet fish camp in Norway; Nicky Robson is pictured here with the two biggest Cod he caught, which weighed 48lb 7oz and 45lb. He also landed another Cod of  28lb and a further three good doubles, and all his fish were caught using size 7/0 and 6/0 Sakuma 545 Manta Extra hooks rigged in pennel formation. From the same group, David Rogers later landed an absolutely huge 49lb 7oz Cod using Sakuma Manta Extra 545 hooks in size 8/0 & 4/0 rigged in pennel formation. Nothing is confirmed yet but this Cod is certainly a contender for a European record.
