Kev Legge - New British Record - Shore Caught Tope

Kev Legge with a 66lb 8oz Tope, A NEW BRITISH RECORD, caught using size 8/0 Sakuma 545 Manta Extra and 543 Pennel Manta Extra hooks:

Kev from Braunton, North Devon potentially broke his own British Record with a fish 8oz heavier than his previous record of 66lb. It was taken from a North Devon rock mark using a Flounder bait mounted on size 8/0 Sakuma 545 Manta Extra and 543 Pennel Manta Extra hooks on a pulley rig incorporating 150lb wire.

His previous record fish was caught on the 6^th November 2006; this fish was landed on 6^th November 2010, spooky! The fish was weighed on calibrated scales and witnessed by two other anglers and was returned alive. All the information has been passed on to the record fish committee and confirmation should be announced soon on the fish being a new record.
